Description
Description
The Trek Marlin 8 is a mountain bike that novice riders will enjoy immensely.
Away from the asphalt
With the Marlin 8, you can have a lot of riding fun away from tarmac roads. Take your mountain bike out on the gravel paths or cool trails, fun guaranteed.
If you are a serious beginner and looking for an MTB, be sure to check out the Trek Marlin 8.
The base of this mtb is the lightweight aluminium frame. The cables are integrated into the frame, protecting your cables from splashing dirt. The mountain bike comes with a RockShox front fork, which can be easily adjusted to suit you as a rider. The Marlin 8 also features a lockout, which allows you to easily adjust the suspension travel according to the surface. There is also the option to make your wheels tubeless, thereby reducing the mtb's weight and reducing the risk of punctures.
Shifting and braking
Trek has opted for a SRAM groupset on the Marlin 8. Even tough you only have 12 gears, the big cassette gives you a huge gear range. This means you can effortlessly climb up hills, while also being able to achieve a high top speed. Braking is done with Shimano hydraulic disc brakes. Hydraulic disc brakes give your mountain bike massive stopping power, and even on a muddy trail you'll stop in time.
Versity
Besides being a real race monster, this mountain bike is a lot more. Use the attachment points and mount a luggage rack. This way, you'll have the perfect bike for school or work.

1st ride through the woods went perfectly. Only the standard handlebar width is really too wide. I shortened this considerably to avoid bumping into a tree on a technical trail.
